Not much is written about Selena Gomez's biological father yet. His family hails from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Ricardo married Selenas mother as a teenage bride, but the marriage only lasted until Selena turned 5. In October 2007, Selena told the ladies of ABCs daytime show, The View that her father was connected to Selena Perez's family and helped agree to whether Jennifer Lopez should play the part of Selena in the TV Movie about the deceased singer.
